Set up a split-horizon DNS on a Raspberry Pi


Why should you care about hosting your own split-horizon DNS server?  So lets say you do some self hosting like I do.  One of the problems is that the internal addresses for your servers is actually different than the external addresses provided by the Internet DNS servers.  How does one solve this issue?  The answer is called “Split DNS”.  You can set up your own split DNS server for your home using a simple $30 Raspberry Pi computer!
